New employee Policy Manual was approved by the Eau Claire county board

Eau Claire (WQOW)-New employee Policy Manual approved by the Council Tuesday night Eau Claire County by a 10-6 vote.

Collective bargaining agreement expires at the end of the year in Eau Claire County and under the controversial amendments, signed into law by Governor Walker, unions can no longer be negotiated work rules.

The new rules would also limit employees to not more than six months of leave is not paid. Previously, they could take up to a year-and-a-half.

County workers currently earn overtime pay and comp time during the hours that they work out their daily shift is scheduled. Under the new policy manual they will only get overtime and comp time to work more than forty hours a week.
